(they don’t serve food so no stars) so if your in the know then you know.
The man was invited to play last night and we didn’t know what to expect.
First off reading is fundamental and if you ever plan on going please read their website closely or you won’t find it, but if you happen to figure it out you will not be disappointed.
The drinks are a bit pricey but oh so worth it. If you’re not sure what you want they have the skillz to make it. I wasn’t sure what I wanted just told him the type of liquor and specs and they were delicious.
This is also a place to go after dinner to enjoy live music, but if you want to get your pregame on you will also enjoy it.
Had a great time and we will most def return. 😘
Ordered a Purple Rain. This was a sweet drink accented by ube (japanese sweet potato) which gave it an earthy profile and was a beautiful color even in the red light of the environment. The ambiance of the location was very soothing, relaxed, and upbeat. The band that was performing were pleasant and relaxing to sway to the rhythm.
Love that they keep true to the prohibition area. All spirits and drinks are only what you could get during the times.
With different musicians rotating through...this spot will become a regular on my night out stops!!
Prohibition Speakeasy truly impressed me with its exceptional drink selection and captivating live music. The cozy ambience added a touch of charm to the whole experience. Whether you're sipping on a well-crafted cocktail or being serenaded by the live tunes, this place effortlessly transports you to a bygone era of elegance and entertainment. A definite must-visit for those seeking a unique and memorable night out.
This is the coolest place ive ever been to! The bartenders CARE about what they hand you to drink. It’s a little warm but once you find a seat and enjoy your delicious drink, you’ll be on cloud 9. Thank you to the bartenders and staff. I never thought I could love an alcoholic drink so much!!
Cute space but not at all what I thought it would be based on advertising. Very small and fills up very fast on Friday and Saturday. Subtle hidden entrance but definitely not “underground” besides literally. Very busy and everyone was dressed extremely casually. $10 cash only cover charge to get in and drinks are $18, neither of these prices are advertised online. Venue is extremely small. I dressed up and did my makeup 1920s style and was excited to hang out with likeminded people and listen to some blues. But turns out their dress code isn’t enforced at all and no one else there was in style at all. The band had blues in the name but did not play blues at all, although that’s on me for not realizing, but if they had a better description on the website… They also don’t enforce their rule about no phones which was disappointing as so many people were scrolling on their phones during the live music. It’s honestly not very 1920s/30s vibes to me at all. I still had a great time though and drinks were delicious! Was just hoping this would become my new authentic spot for blue and jazz and a cool theme, but it was not.
Wonderful service, the doorman and the lead bartender Leif were absolutely wonderful and took care of us. We visited on a saturday where dress code is encouraged, but not enforced. Great music from live bands, very quick and jazzy by the end of the night. 10/10 would go again, just wish more people dressed up on the encouraged days, but thats no fault of the establishment.
The live band was fantastic. We had a great time dancing the night away. The tight quarters made it feel cozy and inclusive. Drinks were good, but on the expensive side. Bartenders didn't have much personality. And the bar itself is kinda shoved into a corner. The cocktail record menus felt kitschy and hard to read (have to keep rotating it).
